Starbucks is slipping on something a little more festive. On Thursday, Nov. 5, the colossal coffee chain’s long-awaited holiday cups arrive in stores alongside its holiday menu and seasonal merchandise — including, for the first time, a seasonal pup cup. This year’s Starbucks holiday cups take inspiration from the “classic holiday movie” with ribbons, bows and other vintage-style holiday decor, the company said in a press release. Starbucks notes that the color palette also brings together the old and the new, pairing its signature Starbucks green, red and white with retro-feeling shades like pale mint green, antique gold and deep cranberry. Which movie, specifically, did Starbucks’ designers draw their inspiration from? “Home Alone,” a spokesperson tells TODAY.com.
